Company History:

Maritech Marine Ltd. began as a consulting firm to the Aquaculture Industry in January of 1991. At conception the company was staffed by only three employees. At the present time we have 10 to 14 employees depending on the season.

In 1992 the vessel "C & D" was purchased for hauling salmon feed.

In June 1993 a boom truck was added to the equipment for serving the industry as well as hauling rockweed.

The M/V Cape Shoal , M/V Lisa Ann and M/V Catherine Stuart were added and the C & D was retired. These vessels were used for marine freight, towing, gridwork and hauling rockweed.

At the present time we have one vessel and the M/V Erin Colleen. Sales of aquaculture and related equipment became part of the operation almost at the onset of the business. Trucking, as well, became an integral part of Maritech Marine. At present we provide trucking service to the Maritimes and Maine; with five tractors, 1 tractor with boom and nine trailers.

A Warehouse was constructed in 1995 for storage of salmon feed and supplies. It is also our service center. The office was first housed in the upper half of the NB Power building in St. George until February of 2000, when construction of our new office was completed.
